CURRENT STUDIES

The ACTION Centre, we are committed to advancing integrative oncology through clinical research that brings safe, evidence-based approaches into cancer care. This page highlights the research studies we are currently leading and supporting, organized by stage of progress.

1.

In Preparation

At this stage, researchers are designing the study, obtaining approvals, and setting up the infrastructure needed to begin. Depending on the size and type of trial, this stage can take months to several years before recruitment begins.

2.

Recruiting

These trials are currently open and looking for participants. If you are interested in taking part, this section provides details on who may be eligible and how to get involved.

3.

Data Analyses & Publishing

Once recruitment is complete, researchers carefully review and analyze the data collected. Findings from these trials are then shared in academic publications and knowledge translation activities, helping inform future cancer care.

By structuring our studies this way, we hope to provide clarity on where each study currently stands—whether it’s being developed, actively seeking participants, or moving toward sharing results with the world.

Mindful-Gut

Mindful-Gut is a study focusing on the mindfulness-based cancer recovery (MBCR) program and if it can cause a positive change in the gut microbiome, which is the community of microbes (i.e. bacteria, fungi, and viruses) in your gut. The microbiome assists your digestive system.
