Cancer Care Alberta: Patient & Family Advisory Network
If you have lived experience with cancer as a patient, family member, friend, or caregiver, you may be interested in becoming a Patient and Family Advisor with Cancer Care Alberta (formerly Alberta Health Services). Patient and Family Advisors, or PFAs, volunteer their time and experiences to inform research and quality improvement work across the cancer program. To become an advisor, there are three easy steps to follow:
-
Submit an online application here: MyImpactPage - Cancer Care Alberta: Patient & Family Advisory Network.
-
Participate in an introductory conversation with the manager of the PFA Network – someone will reach out to you by email once your application is submitted.
-
If the PFA roles seems like a good fit, you will be asked to complete the standard onboarding process for all volunteers. This includes a background check, confidentiality statement, and online orientation module.
